Who is
Mizzie is a friendly Kangaroo from Sunny Queensland, Australia. She was born in this world to help develop children, in a fun way!
Whilst growing up in touristy Queensland, she met so many children from all over the world. She learnt to make them laugh, and realised that they all learnt better, whilst they were having fun.
Our Story
One sunny Sunday morning in Brisbane, four Australian parents savoured a coffee and breakfast, while watching their then young babies. The bubs seemed to be desperately searching for something to chew on, to relieve their sore gums, while remaining entertained. And like a lightning bolt moment, the parents all agreed that there really was a need for something new in the market, something fun and educational, something more ‘Aussie’.
From that very day, Sandra Ebbott made it her mission to design and develop Australia's Original Natural Teething Toy, naming the company and character after her daughter Isabella 'izzie', and her little friend Madeline 'M'. Mizzie's world and purpose has been growing ever since, always with one purpose in mind: to develop children through fun.
The People behind Mizzie
“I am proud mum to Isabella (7yr) and Hugo (2.5yr), coming up to 8 years of marriage, and although I am well and truly Australian now, I was born and raised in the French part of Canada and have Portuguese heritage. Before Mizzie, I worked in senior marketing roles all over the world with a few Global brands (such as BMW at the Global HQ in Germany, Pepsi in the UK/Ireland, and Reebok at the European HQ).
When my daughter was born, I couldn’t find a good Aussie all-natural rubber teether, nor a good Australian animal that could help children learn from birth to their toddler years. And so, after 2 years of intense research and development, Mizzie was born in 2015 and then launched to trade in 2016. Since then, my passion and drive has been to keep designing and developing new products where Mizzie can help develop children through fun! I hope you love our products, and feel free to reach out!”

We are a small, passionate and dynamic team based out Brisbane, Queensland, with very big goals and a clear vision. We have a wide range of commercial, training and marketing backgrounds, also with first hand experience with babies and toddlers. All our products designed by Aussie parents, and our manufacturing standards are of the highest quality, compliant to all toy safety standards across Australia/NZ, Europe and USA. Our warehouses are in Brisbane, where we ship from, and where we have stock. We are currently manufacturing in China as, after two years of research, we couldn’t find somewhere here that could do it to our standards and price, as we are still a small company. We would love to re-shore to Australia one day, once our volumes are higher.
